So, I made slow
cooker gf beef stew this morning and came home to a hot, hearty
delight. I put a little salt on it before eating, but it turned out
delish. The recipe: 1 pound beef stew meat 4-5 potatoes chopped
into bite-sized chunks 4-5 carrots chopped into bite-sized chunks 1
can of kidney beans, drained (15 oz) 1 can sweet corn, drained (8
oz) 1 small onion, diced 1 green pepper, diced 1/2 tbsp chili
powder 1 tbsp minced garlic 1/2 cup beef (or chicken) broth Salt
and pepper to taste Throw it all in the slow cooker on a medium low
setting (according to your cooker) for 6-8 hours. Options: -For
thicker stew, add some cornstarch. Not more than a tbsp. -For extra
flavor and color, brown the meat before placing in the slow cooker.
-Top with cheese before serving for An extra touch. What would you
add?
